Tenala
Tenala is a small but lively village about 15 km from Ekenäs. There are about 2500 people living in Tenala as well as a significant number of summer inhabitants.
The history of Tenala reaches back over thousands of years, as there have been people living in the area for over 4000 years.
Tenala Church
The greatest sight in the village is the grey stone church from the 14th century. The walls of the church are decorated with the coats of arms of 25 noble families. The bell tower bell is one of the oldest in the whole country. The church is open during service, concerts and events all year round, and on other times on request.

Frimans
Frimans is a small family business founded in 1996. The services they offer include a village shop, restaurant, a dairy and a workshop. Frimans Diversehandel is a versatile shop selling everything from garden and forestry products to decorations and ornaments and specific groceries. The generous cheese bar sells for example the popular Tenala cheese. Next to the shop the restaurant café Bakfickan serves delicious foods. Frimans offers versatile services for groups and companies, in example conference rooms, catering and activities such as guided tours in the cheese factory.

Tenala homestead museum
Tenala homestead museum consists of seven buildings: a residential building (1850), a former stall, a shed, a smithy, a loft and an old warehouse (from around the 1790’s). The residential building is decorated in 19th century style, and in the hall changing themed exhibitions are held during summer. The museum’s collections include more than 2500 items. The museum area also has an space for festivities with a stage and seats for around 800 people. The museum is run by Tenala marthaförening r.f.

Finbygränd homestead museum
Finbygränd homestead museum has an impressive collection of items telling the story of the industrialization of farming from the beginning of the 20th century to the 1980’s. They exhibit for example horse-run farm tools, combine harvesters, tractors and a fascinating section of domestic tools. There’s also a smithy from the 1930’s. The museum is in the village of Prästkulla, around 11 km away from Tenala center, and it’s open for groups on request all around the year and open for all on selected weekends during summer.
