The Memorial in Vitsand

Memorial for the battle on May 20th 1854.

On May 20th 1854, during The Crimean War, a naval skirmish took place between two English warships and a Russian-Finnish gun battery. The memorial was unveiled on May 19th 2004 to mark the 150th anniversary of the battle.
